Microcredit Foundation LOK is a non-depository financial organization whose basic business activity is provision of microloans in accordance with the Law on Microcredit Organizations (Official Gazette of the Federation of B&H, number 59/06) with the aim of improving the material status of the microloan users, as well as increasing employment and supporting entrepreneurship development.

MCF LOK strives to affirm, expand and develop its social mission and active business orientation towards microfinance clients that it has begun in April 1997 as a non-governmental organization implementing its microcredit program on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina . Microcredit Organization LOKmicro was registered as a microfinancial organization when the Law on Microfinance Organizations came into force (Official Gazette of the Federation of B&H, number 20/00). This was followed by another change in legal regulation in 2006 and compliance with it, which enabled the registration of the Microcredit Foundation LOK in April 2008 and continuation of operations in current legal status as of June 1^st 2008, in accordance with the requirements of the new law on microfinance organizations.
